One Brooklyn Bridge Park Seeks Retail Tenants

The developers of One Brooklyn Bridge Park are making a renewed effort to find retail tenants to anchor their condo development, formally know as 360 Furman Street. While this Brooklyn waterfront location could be home to restaurants and small retail stores, but finding a larger retail tenant may prove troublesome. This Brooklyn location is much better suited for smaller, neighborhood retail establishments.

Strong retail development in the area hinges on the Brooklyn Bridge Park development, which is already behind schedule. Pier 6 development was slated to begin in July 08 has been pushed back to Jan 09. Despite the setbacks in park development, One Brooklyn Bridge Park condo sales have been strong, even in this rough economy. A recent purchase of 2 units for over 5 million dollars bode well for future condo sales.
